Sweet Baby Pinks

Yep.  I've started another quilt.  Before finishing the last one.  I am hoping to turn this pile of beautiful girly fabrics into this

Economy Block

I am pretty good at procrastinating but I only have 2 more of these babies to go before I have enough to mail out for my Progressive Swap group on Threadbias.  The deadline for mail out is March 30th.  Of course, I wanted to get them done before March 1st!  So...you can decide whether that qualifies as procrastinating or not. lol. Personally, I'm counting it as early!

I used all scraps for these and they are paper pieced.  They are being mailed with the paper still on.  I may even make more.  Not that I have a lot but they really didn't make a dent in my scraps.  However, trying to find scraps that go together and are the right size(s) is a little addicting.  Plus, it's fun to look through and be reminded of all the fabrics I've used and the projects that I used them for.

Works In Progress & Fabriholic Anonymous Confession

Progress is happening! It's happening very sloooowly but it is happening.  lol.

I have completed the Butter Churn quilt top. Next steps: baste, quilt, bind!

This needs to get done before March Break is over or it will not be done in time for baby!

Also started but not on my WIP list is a hybrid hand and machine piecing project:
So far, it's just been hand pieced, but it is a longer term project. I am not sure how big it will be.  But I am using the Inklingo method and freebie collection to create the pieces.  There were a few hiccups with the printing but overall it seems to be going well.

I must confess that I have broken my fabric fast. Not once but twice {insert embarrassed me here}.  Once was for the Butter Churn quilt because I was short 11 background squares but then I ordered the wrong colour of fabric (I have the Kona Colour chart now...).  The second time was when I purchased the backing fabric - which doesn't count as part of the fabric fast, but the 6 FQ's I bought with it do...

Now, I am determined that I will do even more in the next 3 months to use up my stash.  I am participating in the March Economy Block swap on Threadbias.  I also have another baby quilt that is due in a few months and a bunch of QAL's that I want to finish or start.

Wish me luck ladies and gents!
